Opel Vivaro – Tips for Optimal Van Racking
Vivaro is a medium-sized, commonly used van, and its cargo space allows for versatile equipment setups for various professional tasks.
One feature of the new Vivaro is that behind the rear wheel arches, the floor has a raised section. As a result, we have created a custom shelving range specifically for the Vivaro. In Vivaro’s collection, the shelving/cabinet units have narrow lower cabinets so the units can be installed as close to the side wall of the van as possible, minimizing any unnecessary space between the unit and the wall.
A popular configuration is a long open van shelving on the left side wall (for example, a 230 cm long van shelving unit for a long Vivaro) and a racking / drawer unit on the right side wall (for example, a 127 cm van racking unit for a long Vivaro).
The Vivaro has a long item hatch in the partition wall. If a unit is placed in the partition, the hatch may not be accessible.
We recommend choosing shelving units that you can easily access through the cargo door openings. Crawling into the low cargo space is uncomfortable.
Utilize the ends of shelves and the walls near the doors, where you can reach without crawling into the van. These are great spots for van accessories, such as hooks and hose/cable holders.
Floor-mounted long van drawers are a great alternative to wall-mounted shelving. They can also be stacked on top of each other for better space optimization.
If you store valuable tools in the cargo area and the doors have windows, we recommend van window guards.
The same products designed for the Renault Trafic are suitable for older Vivaro models (pre-2019).
