Volkswagen Crafter long Shelving – Tips for Optimal Van Racking

• We recommend using tall furniture in the Crafter. It is a large van, and its cargo space height should be utilized with shelving.
• The Crafter has high rear wheel arches, which is why its racking and drawer units have elevated lower cabinets. Make sure to account for the wheel arch height when assembling open shelving.
• When choosing shelving, consider practicality—it’s ideal if you can access shelves and drawers without stepping into the van.
• Utilize the ends of shelves and the walls near the doors. These are great spots for van accessories such as hooks and hose/cable holders.
• Floor-mounted long drawer units are a great alternative to wall-mounted shelving. They can also be stacked, for example, against the partition wall, allowing them to slide out through the side door.
• If you store valuable tools in the cargo area and the doors have windows, we recommend van window guards.
