Volkswagen Transporter T7 L1 Short (Model Year 2025+) Shelving – Tips for Optimal Van Racking

• The new Volkswagen Transporter T7 has become one of the most popular van models, and for good reason. Its updated cargo area design offers a wide range of shelving and storage possibilities.
• Thanks to the straight bulkhead, it’s easy to install shelving units directly against it. Popular choices for this configuration include the 130 cm van shelving unit and the 127 cm van racking unit.
• For improved work ergonomics and comfort, choose shelving systems that are easily accessible from the cargo door openings. Make the most of the shelf ends and side walls near the doors – these are ideal locations for accessories like hangers and hose/cable holders, as they can be accessed without crawling into the van.
• Consider long drawer units installed on the floor as an alternative to traditional sidewall shelving. These long drawers can also be stacked to maximize vertical space.
• The aisle width in the cargo area depends on how the shelving is installed.
  – When 36 cm deep E-Flex units are installed on both side walls, the aisle width is 88.5 cm between the units.
  – When shelving is installed on only one side wall, the aisle width is 113 cm between the shelving and the opposite wheel arch.
